Vacay at Playa Largo before Covid-19

This was our first Vacay of 2020.  Isn’t that sunset gorgeous!  Little did we know then what would forever change in a matter of weeks from what we thought was normal. How I wish we could go back and change the hands of time but that is not possible.  The world we live in has certainly thrown a hell of a curve ball, one that we all must try and maneuver through cautiously.  I sit here and wonder what or when our next vacay of 2020 will look like, or not. For now I’ll just reminisce and share the details of our trip to Key Largo Fl.

The one thing about the keys is that you don’t have to leave the United States to feel like you are on a tropical island. That first sunset was amazing!

Our fist stay in Key Largo was at the Playa Largo beach and spa resort. It’s everything you would expect and more. I would suggest attending the Eventide event that starts 30 minutes before sunset. I felt like I was in Hawaii. What a nice touch.  My dress is from Shop Bop which also works perfect as a coverup!

The Eventide bell rang 30 minutes before sunset! Our woes and wishes were set fire and sent out to sea!  If I knew then what I know now my wishes would have been so different.

There are so many interesting places in the keys to visit.  It was hard leaving the relaxation of the pool and beach but we did manage to feed the tarpon at Robbie’s in Islamorada.  I was lucky enough to be greeted by a couple of wild manatees who swam into the tarpon pool.

Let’s not forget about the food.  We hit every local spot recommended. Our day was filled with too much relaxing and fun that I didn’t take too many entree pics. I did however take a pic of one of the best delicious deserts!  Key West is known for the best key lime pie. Don’t leave with out trying!

The pool and beach are gorgeous. Service is top notch. Management was great. We had to stay an extra day because of a flu bug (who gets that on vacation) and was very accommodating. Playa Largo is already on our list for October. We hope to see you then!
