Merry Christmas!

I don’t even know where to begin because I’m so late in posting.  It’s been crazy up in this house of mine.   One thing for sure is that I wouldn’t change anything except maybe slow life down.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a Christmas that was as crazy busy as this year.  Decorating, cooking, and shopping filled every minute with little relaxing to spare.  Cooking kept us the busiest and Mike sure prides himself on making his buckeyes!  I have to admit they are really good! I see extra workouts in my future.

I pride myself on the traditional tomato sauce that I make once a year.  I know, why once?  Well it’s plentiful and I freeze a couple of containers to use through out the year.  I start making this sauce Christmas eve morning and let it simmer for 5 hours.  Christmas day the sauce simmers all day until we are ready to sit down for our pasta dinner!

It’s all worth it because this is a time to rejoice and remember what it’s all about.  Family is important to us and we have a lot.  My husband comes from a big Italian family.  We host the local clan which seems to grow each year.  We were so happy to have most of them stop by and I was even happier that my parents were able to join us for the evening.  I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas blessings!
